Gardenia blossom

Our gardenia is blossoming and yes, they smell very nice. This variety is called Professor Pucci for whatever reason Google hasn't told me. Perhaps that is the guy who created this variety, which supposed to produce bigger flowers than others.

Gardenia is something I always wanted to grow but didn't have an opportunity too. Because they like hot and humid tropical or subtropical weather, which I haven't lived in. Canberra is not exactly perfect either as there are frost days and Gardenia is frost-sensitive. Luckily Gardenia is perfect for potting so all I need to do is to move it indoors for cool nights. But in theory Gardenia can grow as tall as 1.5 meters and that will make the moving-around task difficult to handle. Oh well, my gardenia is only 0.5 m now...
