1) Jane Eyre
The 1st time I read it I was 13, when I tried to figure out what love meant.
2) Sahara Stories
Real stories about creating romance in the least romantic place/dessert, about having adventures and being an obedient daughter. I was about 13/14 years old.
3) Cai Zhizhong Cartoons
Form can also determine context. I was in secondary school, the best school in the whole city, which means almost zero time for fun other than reading cartoons.
4) My country my people
A modern classic about what being a Chinese means. I was in University then.
5) The Little Prince
What is true love. I was a master student.
6) Stories by Yishu
What it meant to be a career woman. I was in the States working on my PhD.
