It is a long weekend (Queen's Birthday) and we finally invited the first guest to MM house for lunch ever since we moved in last Sept. He is MM's long time friend.
Cooking for guests feels like a lot of work for some reason. Maybe my stranded is too high--a Chinese banquet take forever to prepare, and that doesn't include one week of house-cleaning beforehand. A two-day weekend never seems long enough for me to take care of our own business, e.g. washing clothes, sleeping in, grocery-shopping, going out for fun, making some complex/fancy meals (i.e. making pasta from scratch) and baking bread etc. So I always wonder how another friend of MM could invite us and another three people over for dinner quite often--his wife must be a super woman.
The picture shows how much bread I baked today. With one guest I baked two yeast bread (the two nicely-rounded ones) instead of one. I also baked a loaf of banana bread for dessert/eating over tea. Halah has nothing to do with the guest. It is just for us :)
