Potato harvest!

About five months ago I planted two sprouted potatoes in a flowering pot (here is how it was like when it was one month old). Before we left for China somehow some leaves started to turn into yellow. Not sure what happened--maybe because I was too busy to water it enough?

Anyway I decided to leave them alone. I just left it on the balcony, which means the poor plant was thirsty for about four weeks unless it rained.

Not surprisingly the leaves all withered when we came back. But I was amazed at what I found underneath--seven cute baby potatoes!

MM turned them into a delicious potato salad for dinner. Call me biased, but they tasted much sweeter then the ones we bought in the market!

Low maintenance and big surprise--will plant more this year!
