Australia's worst disaster ever

The bushfire in Victoria is still burning and so far it has taken 131 lives and 600+ homes. The evening news tonight said there probably would be more bodies to be found as time goes by. I know this in theory but still it was just hard to believe in today's Australia, with all the high-techs, smart people and overflowing pockets, there is nothing we can do facing a natural disaster at such a scale.

"Who cares, at least I am still alive," a woman responded when being asked what she would do, as she lost all her belongings and she didn't insured her house. Really, as long as we still alive and have each other that is not the end of the world.

May we have the wisdom to think this way when a disaster is not around...
