Charmoula

I made this Charmoula sauce to go with my steamed broccoli tonight. I had never used both parsley and cilantro in a single dish before, so when I read the recipe on Bitten I made a "Um" sound.

It actually tasted rather good. The cilantro and olive flavors stood out most and I could barely detect parsley and cumin. To MM the sauce was "just like a pesto!"

Ingredients
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, mostly leaves, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup Italian parsley, mostly leaves, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Pinch of cayenne
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
