Why Mr Koala bellows

They are are mating calls (to invite Ms Koala over) and not territorial calls as had been thought (from the latest Science magazine).

I didn't know koalas make any noise, as they are so quite when sleeping. Whenever I see them, they are either in sound sleep or in transition to the next position to sleep.
