A Swedish company planned to utilize human heat produced by travelers in a railway station to heat an office building nearby, according to this article.
Let's see: heat from 250,000 people will provide 15% of the heating needed in a 13-story building. I am not an engineer (in fact I am engineering-challenged to put it in politically correct way), but it doesn't seem to be very efficient for me. Why don't they turn the central AC temperature down a couple of degrees in the afternoon or something? Perhaps five degrees even, if you're allowed to hug strangers :)
