Forward planning is a family tradition!

MM is very good at forward planning. He has a theory of when to buy a house, where to live and even how lazy I will become in the future. He basically nudged/kicked/tossed me out of grad school--without him I would still be a miserable PhD student right now. All because he knew I was being (the lazy) myself and I might become lazier without some external force throwing me out of my comfort zone.

But I didn't know forward planning is actually a family tradition until today, when MM Mama told us we could keep her wedding photos.

Yesterday we got a couple of photos in the mail. They were MM Mama and MM Papa's very nice wedding photos! Taken 44 years ago, they were however perfectly preserved, "in mint condition," as they say on the ebay.

In fact they were so nice that I felt it was dangerous to keep them around. MM happens to have fat fingers and they like to make a mess. So I was going to scan the photos and then send them back right away.

Guess what?

"You don't have to send the wedding photos back to me. We had several copies made at the time, so we could give them to any children we might have." Said MM Mama in an email.

Wow! The plan was realized after 44 years!!!

Incredible. Definitely sounds like Moominpapa's influence there.
