Says a sticker on a car parked in ANU campus today.
Funny.
The funnier part is that was exactly what I told MM yesterday, after working in the kitchen for four hours without much of a stop.
My Mum seemed to always be busy during weekends when I was a child. "This is more tiring than weekdays, " she often said that when she finally came out of there.
I only understood what she meant after becoming a career woman myself. For us a week doesn't really end when the weekend comes. It just means the beginning of working days for a different kind of work, e.g. shopping, washing clothes, cleaning up, etc.
Still my life is a lot easier than my Mums. She didn't 't have a MM equivalent cleaning after her and she didn't have a dishwasher either. She did have one-day-weekends and me, who was probably at least where 60% of the troubles came from.
Still my Mum's career woman life was a lot easier than my grandma's. My grandma had to take care of a whole family/six people on top of her daytime job. Not only she didn't have dishwasher, she also didn't have washing machine, fridge, oven, AC...Not even hot water. She also had to make clothes for her five children by hand!
What is the next generation's life is going to be like? I asked MM.
"Robot household assistant will take care of everything!" Yoyo grinned and moved around like a Robot for a while, well, a Robot Bear, precisely, if you can imagine how that was like. Then he sighed, going back to his dish washing mission.
