What presents does one get for an economist?

Most people said "Cash" at Freakonomics blog :)

MM always like books or music CDs for present. He doesn't enjoy big items because 1) he is rather frugal and 2) "I would have bought it if I need it" for "luxury stuff". He got a couple of books, a couple of T-shirts, and a handful of chocolate from me and a couple of books from MM Mama this year for his birthday. I also baked him a cake of course, which I haven't had time to blog about.

On the flip side it is also interesting to ask "What economists will give you for presents?" I wonder if the answer reflects more about the profession. MM gave me a pot of rose and a teddy bear for the two birthdays while we were still dating. This year my "fuzzy hubby" baked me a birthday cake (his first-time ever!) , gave me a bed-time story book (and even read to me a couple of times) and a chocalate bar (yes, MM house cannot be functional without dark-chocalate).
