Canberra food review VII--Zeffirelli

This is a pizza place we passed by many times but never checked out. I always feel it is a waste of money considering I can make decent pizza myself (the same reason I don't normally go to a Chinese restaurant). But I was going to make pizza today but only too tired and hungry when I got home from work so there came our date with Zeffirelli.

I am afraid this turns out a one night stand. The food was edible and their Zeffirelli specialty pizza was even good-ish when you were as hungry as I was. The other good thing is that they served really fast: salad within three and pizza within seven minutes. An extra bonus for the super hungry. But other than that I could hardly recommend it. Our Italian salad included at least half of an iceberg lettuce, most in huge chunks. When looking at pasta dishes on other's table I considered it was my lucky for not ordering any of them.

The waitresses were super diligent. Two came over to ask us if we wanted to have our salad plate taken away when there was still some bits and pieces left, and this happened within two mintues. I gave up the second time and wondered if there was a plate shortage...

To sum up:

Name: Zeffirelli
Location: Dickson
Price: OK, $18~20 for a big gourmet pizza which can feed two people
Pros: Fast serving
Cons: Mediocre food and diligent waitresses
peculiarity: Overall everything seems a bit too fast-food-ish
Whether go back: No.
