Pray.
Update: Rafi left a comment saying this was ridiculous--I agree. But if one thinks he is totally helpless and nobody else he knows is helpful. Perhaps praying is justified. What I don't understand is why they had to pray in a gas station. You don't go to a battlefield to pray for the world peace, do you?
MM said it was only that organizer's PR show. That's it.

As someone who does a lot of praying himself, I think this has got to be one of the more ridiculous ideas I've heard for a while (well maybe the climate change shelter gets that prize).
I reckon that God would actually be quite pleased about high oil prices if it means we will destroy his planet less as a result... although seeing as it means putting lots of money in the hands of evil corporations and religious extremist regimes, on second thoughts he might not be so happy...
Praying for lower food prices or even for the reverse of global warming might be more worthy subjects - however you would need to be prepared that your prayers may well go unfulfilled. Maybe delivery from evil corporations and religious extremist regimes might be something worthy of praying for... and then if that meant lowering the oil prices... then you might be on to something.
