Pinch, pinch, pinch

I have been harvesting my basil like crazy lately after reading this set of very helpful tips of basil growing and cooking by Jill M. Nicolaus. After last year's success, I grew six pots of basil these year, yes, six! My goal is to have enough frozen pesto until new batch of freshly-made one coming next summer. Both MM and I love pesto sauce and not only we use it as a pasta sauce it can also function as spread for Yoyo's super tasty Triple Green Sandwich.

Recently my basil have been growing at a full-speed. I have harvested twice in the past ten days and each time I got about 10 cups of leaves. I am also experimenting on a perfect pesto recipe by using different kinds of nuts. So far my favorite is freshly-toasted almonds, even though that is not the classic choice.
