It is a spice bear!

A while ago in a post I asked what is the bear on our fridge for (other than being cute). Here is the answer: it is a spice bear!

As you can see from the picture, the bear has a bunch of canisters attached to him. Inside each canister there is one type of spices for cooking. Did you also notice those colorful labels on the canisters? They are, of course, the names of spices that were color-coded, i.e. Green for Chinese spices, yellow for Indian and pink for western types.

Back in the US I used to have a bear covered by spice canisters all over. He had a rather alien looking as you can imagine. We don't have that many types of spice yet--getting there though--so it looks like the bear got a metal jacket on:)
